"The Bushwick duo of Gillian Visco & John Swanson put on an amazing 7 song set which I felt was the best of the night. All 7 songs are from their upcoming album which I am guaranteeing right now will be the best release of 2018. The chemistry Gillian & John have was evident from the start with Kill Me Sweetie. It not only was on point, it is a perfect tone setter for the magic that is to come from the rest of their set. The angst in Gillian’s vocals perfectly reflects the powerful message in the lyrics."

"If I had to choose one song as my overall favorite, it is an easy choice for me as Punching Bag is flat out amazing. I have not been able to stop listening to the song since the show. I will just say it right now, this will without question be my favorite song of 2018. I will try to make every show I can just to hear it, that is how much I love it!"

"Comparisons with the White Stripes -just the other way around- came up and shadow monster’s set, albeit a full 45 minutes long, was over all too quickly. The new material is fantastic, the new video stunning, which we had the honor to premiere, and we can not wait to see shadow monster again any time soon."

"The video shows an intimate setting that moves from the meta-level of recording a live performance in an apartment to the melancholic, reflective narrative of the song. Watch the glamglare video premiere of the warm and moving “City in My Sailboat” now"

"Arguably my favorite time of the year is June when I roam the streets of Brooklyn for the annual Northside Festival. I came across Shadow Monster & loved everything I heard. The actual vocal & instrument performance was top notch even with the few soundboard issues that arose but managed not to take away from the magical experience of Shadow Monster. I have definitely found a new artist to obsess over & hopefully catch as many times live as possible."

"We loved her song “Out of my Mind”, a melodic rock ballad, so we didn’t want to miss her Northside showcase at the tiny stage of Pete’s Candy Store. There she played a quieter set solo, just on the electric guitar.
